What to eat when you get braces

Hello Everyone!

Wow it seems like an eternity since I published my last post! First of all I should explain the situation…

Just after publishing the previous post, I had an appointment to the dentist. To do what? To have a wisdom tooth extraction. And not a easy one, but hey who could imagine that it would be so painful? Since I got my clear braces 4 months ago, I had an X-ray and I knew I had a tricky wisdom tooth that was about to damage the nice work of the braces, so I decided to remove it.

The reason why I am writing this post now is because in the past week, I experienced the same situation that I was in when I got my braces fitted. I had to eat soft food that would keep my energy levels up as usual. So in case anyone is going through a toothache or you just got your braces, here’s a list of what is good to eat!

Hope this helps and let me know if you guys think about some other foods to try in case of a toothache!

Oh wow, this bought back so many memories! I had braces for around a year when I was about fourteen and it was crazy how much it leaves you to think about! These are great suggestions 🙂 Unfortunately, I went for ‘invisible’ braces too (not sure why, as I’m sure they were still pretty obvious and cost a bomb), but this meant that if I ate anything with too much colour it would stain the bands! That after-curry yellow-band look did not do me many favours, I can tell you that!

He Alice! Thanks for visiting! Yes, the technology has improved so much over the past years in terms of braces. Mines are just like the metal ones but with the white wire so you actually don’t get to notice them that easily. And the good thing is that they change the wire at every session with the dentist. Glad you liked the article. xxx
